PrintPlace.com Review

printplace review
Printplace.com provides good services. But they simply cannot be seen as providing the best service. They are an easy service to use and offer business cards, brochures, postcards and posters, but they suffer from a limited selection of styles that they can offer in most of their categories with the sole exception of their brochures.

Their business cards must be their biggest selling item, as they are the lowest item of all the online printing companies, by far. They charge $17.50 for 500 cards. This compares very favorably against a competitor’s next lowest price of $18.74.

However, Printplace sort of specializes in their brochure options. They offer eight different styles to choose from, and you’re able to add holes, tabs, scoring and folds to your order. You can order rounded corners as well. And they offer dull UV satin matt finishes, aqueous coatings and high-gloss UV coatings.

Unfortunately, they don’t have any sort of a design service, any templates to offer or any sort of an interactive design tool that can be used. So, they are simply a service where you choose what you want, tell them the quantity, and pay for the service. But, they offer booklets, calendars, flyers, notepads, fliers and posters in a wide variety of paper stocks and finishes.

And, there is no complaint with the quality of their printing. They offer guideline templates that you can download to check the fold, trim and bleed on your artwork before you submit it. And, their standard art check is free of charge and will assure of the quality of your order as it is performed personally by a member of their staff.

They do offer a same-day turnaround service, as long as your order reaches them by 10 AM central time, for when you need the printing in a hurry, or you can choose several options for delivery, with two, three, or five day turnarounds. They use UPS exclusively to ship their printing orders. So, once the order has been shipped out, it is able to be tracked via the UPS tracking system. If you have a permit allowing you to do business as a non-profit, you’re even eligible for reduced rates on shipping costs.

And, if you sign up with them, they will be happy to send you some special offers and discounts to your email address.

In summary, PrintPlace.com is sort of the competent company that does what they do well. But, they don’t perform at the same level as the best printers that are out there.
